Booster Pack Heroes Beginner Guide
Open your first packs, collect Mastery, and turn a short run into permanent upgrades.

Booster Pack Heroes is an incremental tower-defense game: open packs to summon heroes and spells, defend your tower, then spend Mastery on permanent upgrades. Losing a run is part of progression.
Your first few runs
- Enter the demo and start Chapter 1. Move the cursor onto enemies to attack them.
- After the run, choose Continue to return to upgrades and the shop. Even a short run can earn Mastery.
- Buy a Basic Pack in the shop. In the opening browser-demo shop, it costs 2 coins from a starting income of 3.
- Start the next battle. Keep the cursor over the moving pack to open it and summon its card. Follow the pack itself rather than a fixed spot on the screen.
- After the run, open Collection and claim rewards for newly discovered cards.
- Spend your Mastery in the upgrade tree, then return for another run.

Make your first upgrades count
The tower’s early durability upgrade costs 1 Mastery and adds 100% tower health. A first Squire upgrade costs 10 Mastery and raises its attack from 10 to 15 in the browser demo.
New discoveries can help pay for upgrades: claiming a newly discovered Squire awarded 10 Mastery. Check Collection before assuming you need another long farming run.
These are early upgrade options, not a required order. You do not need to win a chapter before making progress.
Coins and Mastery do different jobs
Spend coins on packs and shop items, and Mastery on upgrades. Buying another pack does not spend your blue Mastery balance. See the shop guide for purchases and the skill-tree guide for early nodes.
Keep playing between upgrades
Open packs, improve the units you can summon, and use each run’s rewards to reach a little farther. Chapter bosses open the way to new packs and challenges. The browser demo has three chapters; Chapter 3 is its final chapter.
